the host, Lisa, warmly greeted us upon arrival and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. the cottage itself was immaculately clean and well-equipped with anything we could possibly need. We were particularly impressed with the thoughtful touches, such as baby-proofed plugs and a camping cot for our little one. the highlight for us was the opportunity to interact with the farm animals, including the delightful donkeys and chickens. Our children loved feeding them with carrots that were kindly provided by the owners. the peaceful atmosphere and scenic surroundings made this one of the most memorable places we stayed during our trip.
We wish we had booked more than one night and will definitely be recommending this hidden gem to our friends and family. Cons: Nothing, it was a perfect stay!

Cozy and clean cottage with all the necessary amenities. Friendly and accommodating host. Kids enjoyed interacting with animals on the property. Peaceful environment. Will definitely return.

the cottage felt like a small farm with donkeys, sheep, and chickens providing entertainment. the verandah offered a beautiful and relaxing outlook. the accommodation was well-equipped and the staff were friendly and responsive. a perfect place to stay.

The cottage at Dolittle was absolutely delightful! We were charmed by the presence of three donkeys and chickens, creating a lovely farm atmosphere. The cottage itself was spacious, well-appointed, and had everything we needed. The verandah provided a beautiful outlook and was perfect for relaxation. Despite the occasional noise from the nearby road, the peaceful environment made up for it. we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Dolittle Cottages.

The location of the hotel is great, with a stunning view of the mountain range behind it and a lovely veggie garden. the rooms are spacious and well-equipped with all the necessary utensils.
The hot temperature in the bedrooms during summer could be uncomfortable, although a small fan was provided to help cool things down.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Consider them for your next trip.
